Mets get fat on home cooking.

With stellar bullpen work from right handed journey man reliever, Elmer Dessens, The New York Mets continued to make like Sybil, and overcame a three run deficit in edging the  Florida Marlins 4 to 3. The Mets, who continue to play like a championship caliber team at Citi Field won for the 20th time at home, the first team to reach that mark.  R.A. Dickey improved to 3 and 0 in pitching into the 7th inning. Jeff Francoeur, Jason Bay, Ruben Tejada, and Dickey all had rbi's.  The rookie Tejada is filling in for the injured Luis Castillo who was placed on the 15 day DL.
Note: Carlos Beltran went 2 for 6 in an extended spring training game, his first game action in his rehabilitation after knee surgery. He is an estimated 4 to 6 weeks away from joining The Mets. OF Gary Matthews Jr. was designated for assignment. He was hitting .190, with 24 k's in 58 ab's. The Mets need to improve where they can, and if they can replace him with Jesus Feleciano, who is tearing up AAA, then they should be much better off.
