Mets make French Soup out of Marlins!

The New York Mets completed a three game sweep of the Florida Marlins, on the strength of Jeff Francoeur's game tying three run 7th inning homerun. It was payback of sorts for The Mets who were swept by the Marlins in a four game series earlier in the year. The Mets continue to play well at home and have now won eight straight games at Citi Field.

Mets continue to stink on the road. Blow another Santana start.

With a chance at a .500 road trip, and their first road series win, The Mets failed miserably. Frankie K failed to close out a one run lead in the night as the Fu@*in pesky David Eckstein was able to slap a seeing eye single into center field to tie the game in the ninth. Once again, the putrid and inconsistent Mets offense could not muster anything to back another stellar outing from ace Johan Santana.  He is now on pace to win just twelve games this year, instead of having a chance at winning twenty games.
